We'll be having a pie baking contest for dessert! Winners will be invited for a home cooked meal by the newly married couple, time TBD (we promise we're decent cooks!).
To enter, bring a pie to the family get together. Make sure that it is labelled with your name and contact information if you are not sure if we'll have it along with what type of pie you've brought. Pie tasting will happen around 1:30/2 pm. We'll grab a slice or two from each pie to be divvied up amongst the judges who will sample the pies (if we have a lot of people participate, we might not all try every pie but we'll have judges vote for a couple of their favorites then tally the votes for a winning pie). Judges are yet to be determined but likely to include the couple and both sets of parents as well as the wedding party. Let us know if you have questions!
The remainders of the pies will be up for everyone to grab a piece. Feel free to bring a pie to share even if you'd prefer not to be in the pie contest...just a little friendly competition!
*Tip: Michael's favorites include key lime, pumpkin, and rhubarb pies; Mary Beth's favorites include strawberry/rhubarb (strawbarb), blueberry/rhubarb (bluebarb), and apple.
